Jack Mayer: John (Jack) Mayer, who is affiliated with the University of New Hampshire in the United States, is a psychologist who co-developed the Mayer-Salovey model of emotional intelligence and co-authored the TMMS,MEIS, MSCEIT and MSCEIT:YV to assess different aspects of emotion intelligence. Together with the Goleman and Bar-On models, the Mayer-Salovey model is considered to be one of the three leading models of emotional intelligence according to the Encyclopedia of Applied Psychology[2004]. He co-authored or co-edited the following books on emotional intelligence: Emotional Intelligence and Everyday Life [2001], The Wisdom of Feeling [2002] and Emotional Intelligence: Readings on the Mayer and Salovey Model [2004].
